About theRAMageddon

Updated 13 October 2026

theRAMageddon tracks what desktop and laptop memory really costs, every week, in nine markets: the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Belgium (in Dutch and French), Denmark and Sweden.

Memory prices have moved fast since memory makers started building more chips for AI servers. We publish the prices we find in shops as plain tables, with the lowest price, the median and the price per GB, so you can see where a kit stands today.

What we do

  • We check the RAM category pages of shops in each market every week.
  • We clean the data: server memory, used or open box items and listings that cannot be ordered are left out.
  • We publish the figures and short explainers based on them.

What we do not do

  • We do not test memory. Our pages compare prices and specs, not performance in a lab.
  • We do not sell anything and we do not use affiliate links today.
  • We do not rank shops for money. Tables are sorted by price.
